Thank you. Wharton’s Landing was used by steamships that considered the area a religious retreat. Beautiful and surrounded by trees. Pier projected 1K feet from shore to river channel. That part was lost due to hurricanes and time. Hosts an Airbnb now. Enjoyed for vacation.

Thank you. I was at most awed then spellbound after walking through a forest that opened to a cleared area that held a pier and on to open water. The beauty of silence. Forest of ringed tree’ s was like entering a large and empty church. Awesome.
