Poetry Thursday

A poet might say___
___bend your heart towards mine-let your breast touch mine as nature causes heart and heart to match rhythm and beat as one.
I stare in to eyes of passion as they radiate love immeasurable.
I touch hair that radiates and is soft as down.
I smell the sweet nectar of your beauty as my senses reel.
I feel the warmth of your body as it caresses mine.
I hope that the minutes will morph into hours into days into forever.

Your Smile

Memories of your smile lift my heart from its sometimes murky depths.

Traces of your laughter sweeten my drinks and seem to be a kiss upon my lips.

Images of your beauty are a pillow upon which I am able to rest my head.

The smell of your skin is an elixir without which I will never heal.

The soft down of your hair is a veil that intrigues and envelopes my senses in its majestic aura.

You are a friend, an enigma, a lovely question without a definite answer–

it makes you perfection.

When Is More Not Enough?

We live in a Nation that began with blood spilled, as payment for freedom.

Though all men existing within these boundaries were granted liberty, the forces of evil soon made themselves known. They stripped away the mantra of freedom to those who looked different than they citing a passage of Scripture to carry out their evil unfairness. How can this Nation, which was founded by those escaping religious persecution–do we use the same to broker unfair policies or shame those that are different than our so-called selves.

Though glowing words heralded Americas birth, she is again faced with tyranny in the form of rich despots that would shame some of histories worst criminals. America whose principles of fairness were the guiding light that echoed once round the world, fell prey to her own successes. Slavery was the result and segregation the end result. Just as South Africa weathered the storm of Apartheid, now, America stands at a crossroad; should she turn left or should she pivot right.

Many will argue that this is extremism; have not the conservative radio hosts spoken on veiled terms of “now is ‘our’ time to take back America.”
Educated people have fallen prey to the lies cast forth from the very media sources they once eschewed.
Informed people, some of whom are the most highly educated, rant on woman’s issues like a zealot who has just walked from his hut and then was seceded the ability of command over women and the poor. Pro-life has become a word; while we as humans have an obligation to protect the young-if most animals can, why not more so humans.

The reality of this dogmatic approach to life and human rights regardless of common sense or even biblical teachings is heinous.

People have the right to seek their own happiness without mandated edicts from governmental powers. Yet, when the protected rights of all citizens are in danger of, or repeatedly violated-States Rights should be acknowledged.
People have the right to exist as thinking sentient beings and should be allowed to develop as far as their abilities and determination will allow. Education has improved the quality of life of a nations citizenry.

The American political process seems to be doomed as Politicians refuse to carry out their Constitutional responsibilities, while signing internal pledges to ignore their respective obligations to their constituents and sit stoically in their Senate or House seats and do nothing.

The rich have circumvented the American political process by convincing political leaders to circumvent the political mandate as elected officials who were placed in those positions by voters following a just and fair election process. These elected officials ignore their voters and bow to the influence of billionaire influence peddlers who have a shadowy motivation.

This is currently why the cost of this election is so high.
The entire voting process appears to be a miserable joke. Have the American people been fooled into the greatest con job in recent history.

Let us see how far this nation is willing to carry the burden of change. It is senseless to through support behind one person who claims to be in your corner, while having mistreated you initially has decided to alter their persona.

Are the hidden faces of hate lining up, buoyed by billionaires and special interest groups. Let us see how far their money goes.

Seeing Venus

I could only gaze upon your soft skin, skin I longed to caress gently, tenderly to enhance this feeling of blessed passion.

I moved slowly closer as I gazed into eyes of purity that now grace mine, now in frozen fascination, with complete admiration, and respectful of distances that were before heeded.

I touched hair that appears stiff, but is as soft as velvet, each strand seemingly independent, yet relying on its fellows to make your beauty a miraculous beginning.

I sought and found your skin akin to silken purity, touched the miraculous warmth and lost myself in its marvelous sensuality.

I caressed your silken flesh, locked now within my heart, the fascination of it’s color and texture. I would never deny my desire to nuzzle, my need to manipulate soft swells, that mark you as sensational, mysterious, and a charm that might make my life complete.

I traversed your warm valleys and crested sloping mounds in hope of reaching your heart and all the fire that transcends past, and makes this vision a present reality.

Waiting For Beauty

Waiting For Beauty

Standing, I foolishly waited for the cosmetics to be rendered their due honors.

Their patron, patiently applying what might work yesterday, not being visualized today.

Who first sought to turn the natural look of a woman in to heightened loveliness, into more when all that might be realized is before man.

Why take GOD’S pure image of treasured greatness and morph her into an idealized perception of her own greatness.

I believe man’s desire for a quick glance to comfort his tyrannical need for perfect has now extended to whom he loves; his judgement is clouded and this blinds him to reality.

A woman is beautiful.

Pay attention to her movements, each pause, turn or hesitation; a selection of choreographed symphonic passions that emanate friendship, love, devotion, loyalty.

What of Man. Will our narrow minded desire for the “perfect woman” alter perceptions of even GODS ordained order. HIS expectation that we are seeking what we might share–perfect, as we see in life, while desirous of what we have not, is a quandary that man will ever seek to overcome.

Why waste her beauty, with the toss of her head we hesitate, by the mere adjustment of her shoulder–perhaps a flex; are we not taken and tossed about.

Every shake or sway of hair, by wind, breeze, fan or step.

A moistening of her lips the sight of her lips slightly parted, rival the most beautiful of sculptures or photos or paintings ever created or may be created.

A slight furrow of her brow, a tender crinkling of her nose, or a twitch–she is honored for her magnificence.

Man, you might miss out while seeking perfection, just as you try to encourage and alter the concept that beauty transformed is the only way. This only leads to foolish pride.

Think.

Look at her unpretentious beauty, visualize her passion, experience her intelligence, see her strength, and learn that which she richly shares, then marvel about all that is about and within her.

If we measured life by what we see upon the surface, life would be miserable and unfulfilled.

Sharing events, or understanding the moments of beauty we are granted, make our lives truly exceptional.

Probability

This is a fable…a small table set for two, moonlight, a gentle breeze as the stars frame the beauty of you.

Amazed by the love in your eyes, each time ours met, as words not needed — if spoken, not heeded.

When heart as light refracted bends to produce a rainbow of beauty, as seemingly charted upon loves duty.

A tender moment shared, is as much for the moment dared.

That Day

Life’s victories are not without cost. This bitter reality rang true for every first responder who gathered below, and without hesitation ran upwards before the towers fell.

On that day the courageous of Flight 93, in which the will and tenacity of the passengers aboard shattered the momentary calm of that Pennsylvania field before cooling metal and fire made that same field silent save for the wind and Nature’s sounds, take control again.

Held blameless is Fate, an innocent bystander this time, or Mercy, although plenty was found on that shaken and crushed pile of smoldering tears, the World beheld.

There was terror filling the hearts of Humanity that day, as cheers from the ignorant are washed away by the tears of multitudes.

Can we forgive those that formulated and then produced such an end, yes, some of us can, because as some cried out it was the Will of Allah, know we that because of the freedom GOD has indeed pledged to Mankind so this terrible act is a reward of the same freedoms.

We as Humanity, can persevere and do, it is a Blessing from GOD that allows us freedom to act positively or in a small segment of the World’s population–negatively.

We do this–forgive, because we can, but, never ever believe we will forget. Selah.
