Heart pauses at the beauty,
while skirting the desert floor,
my heart and mind begged for relief
from duty on distant shore;
From where did the memory of your
tender touch reach through fog in
my mind, and strip my sight of mornings
light as though night had never come.
Where was the taste of your sweet tongue as I sought for my life’s measure, did not you pledge your gift of life and to
this our endless pleasure.
The summer sun is hottest when it promises growing power, while i think on ways we might enjoy the passing days touching hour by hour.
Stars dance in the night sky,
where heavens majesty is a
mute witness to dances eternal.
As my heart upon seeing your
tender face, explodes in joyous
pleasure, the time of your arrival
well past when you had departed
and the song of your
sweet visage being etched
upon my minds eye.
When the fleeting passing of
fragrance has left the
room then will the
imagination soar and dip
until next chanced meeting.
Ever soaring the heart pinned
lover writes waging the oft penned
battle of why and when, struggling
with loves clutch again and again.
Perhaps the day may still approach,
when she grants his hearts request
or better he stares at the stars above
watching them laugh as they dance.

You found your way back among us,
had you ever left?
I remembered you in the way life
choose to grace you with beauty
and voice to sing, your voice
could do many things.
Hair dark as the night sky,
sun-kissed, it radiates a
silver-gold blue hue as it
reflects true beauty.
Piled upon your head or
falling askew, it was your
persona that radiated true.
My eyes swallowed your painted
treasures that I would never
fully see, as I measured the
path of switchbacks you seemed
only to see.
I longed to share a cigarette
with you as the smoke curled from
your lips, I would place my face
close to yours and lips would
The tendril of blue-white smoke
would enter into your body, my
face pressed close to your soft
lips as you waited for me to draw
it from your mouth.
Slowly, you would yield the smoke
as eyes slowly close, we shared
what lovers do so often pressing
nose to nose.
I know it is not a perfect thing,
I refuse to be offended, offense
is a relative thing by those who
refuse to mend broken fences.
When you left it was the pain
that losing could suddenly bring,
were we lovers or even friends
your phone would nightly ring.
Torn away, I imagined your
beautiful innocence as like
a child dazzled by the white
light you continued towards it
with glee, no more hurts, pain,
uncertainty or strife this world
no more will see you sing.
How joyous might be the reunion
as a new voices aids the angels,
so pure now of thought you
understand all, even to why
I was musing.
The pundits claim after the fact
they knew that you were losing,
or was the pain too much for your
fragile body that even Earth knew
it was your own choosing.
I see you again and my heart lifts
as again the world needs cleansing,
will we ever hear a voice like yours
again that can burn with beauty as a
fire than can be singeing.
though perhaps in this life when all seems for naught,
your words are a tender reminder that for love have
not given to anger or malicious intent, your patience
is gentle, your friendship intense;
through the days of this life which are often fraught
with alarm – love is an ever present reminder that will
do no harm;
people sometimes hurt people as was recently easy to see,
common sense and attitudes must change because the impact
on lives is sordid when there is no place to flee;
I savor your words spoken and can feel your heart through
the keys, as your press out your passions degree by degree;
tender dove whose words drop as rain from on high, those
tender sentiments and heartfelt experiences shared will
not dry like your eyes.
The dream is to be treasured,
more than gold, of secrets
and places where anything goes.
Valuable more than diamonds,
guarded more than pearls,
Sheiks would sell their Kingdoms
to live forever within those worlds.
They come to us unbidden by idea
or by chance, within their hidden
beauty lies terror or romance.
We can fly from planet to planet
or scale the most dangerous of
peaks; we can become all things
beautiful no matter our physique.
We can be light as feathers, as
we barely touch the ground, within
the dream our name can be Odin or

we stand as suddenly and without

Dreams carry us beyond the stars
past Nebula’s and honorable
little Pluto’s gravitational
pull. I should know, I have
stood upon its small face so
elegant and tiny a place where
starlight is the only light and
night is the only companion.
Dreams launch me into the vast
depths of sea and ocean blues.
I have traversed the great depths
where the pressures are frightening
while learning to converse with a
Mermaid who speaks only Greek or
Latin. She showed me her greatest
treasure which was a pair of
women’s waterlogged shoes.
She spoke of dreams as a dry
lander being when her legs were
instantly revealed; tried on
the shoes a perfect fit as I
smiled and wedding bells pealed.
Immediately, I stood in the
desert where I searched for
lost treasure, where life and
death were granted freely
each with equal measure.
She was there again my
Mermaid beauty as though her
place must near sand;
gains not withstanding, a
space craft came to land.
We hastily boarded as a fire
breathing Dragon dove, hissing
as it missed. We hit the boosters
and swoosh were quick lifters
seeking a safe view from orbit.
She was so close I stole a
small kiss from her cheek,
she turned and kissed my lips
in Ernest who magically appeared
a former friend I held dear;
though I don’t recall ever having
a friend named Ernest.
His lips were soft too and of
a sensuous blue hue, that I
kissed him sincerely in return
which prompted us to land back
in the desert and I yelled we
